I have been doing a lot of research on Car Rental. With 10 people going and the possibility of 12 I think we should have a least 3 cars. The cost of a basic car for 1 week is approximately $500. 3 cars is $1500. The cost of a 9 person van is approximately $2100, and we would still need another car.
Anybody driving will need to get an International Drivers permit (IDP). The only one recognized by the USA can only be obtained thru AAA. Cost about $20. Anybody driving caught without an IDP is liable for a large fine.
- Car rental companies on mallorcaThe average cost for a week rental for a car holding 4 is approx $500. Depending on how many of us are there I estimate we will need 2 cars for 8 people or 3 cars for 12 people.
